Why Computer Science?
Every student deserves a high-quality education that teaches problem-solving and critical thinking — foundational skills taught in every computer science course.
Unfortunately, students of color, girls, and students in low-income and rural communities do not have access to the same high-quality computer science education as their peers — and these inequities are unacceptable.
Inequitable access to early computing exposure, in combination with a lack of support to pursue computing, often restricts and deters students historically excluded from the field.
