Grades K-12: Equity-Minded Instruction for Computer Science
This workshop supports educators in integrating equity into computer science instruction, aligned with the theme You Belong in STEAM. Part of Computer Science Professional Development Week, it focuses on building more inclusive CS learning environments.
Grades 3-6: Leveraging Micro:bits for Inclusive and Interdisciplinary Learning
This workshop helps educators create inclusive, interdisciplinary computer science lessons using the micro:bit. Participants design equity-centered, classroom-ready instruction aligned to California CS standards.
Grades 7-10: CS Integration for Science and Math with Micro:bits
This hands-on workshop equips educators with model lessons that connect computer science, science, and math standards using the micro:bit. It focuses on real-world investigations involving measurement, data analysis, and problem-solving.
Grades 9-12: Bootstrap: Artificial Intelligence
This workshop introduces educators to teaching machine learning through hands-on lessons that demystify AI by grounding it in geometry, functions, and statistics. The unit can be integrated into a larger CS or AI course.
Grades 10-12: AP Computer Science A with CSAwesome
This workshop prepares educators to teach AP Computer Science A using the College Board–endorsed CSAwesome curriculum, featuring ready-to-use lessons, student materials, and assessments. No prior Java experience is required.
